Jackson Hole 50th Anniversary. Born to Be Wild Video Web Series Ep. 1

Over its nearly 50 year history Jackson Hole has evolved, but the spirit remains bold and wild, as the last true bastion for all those who dare to live this dream. Jackson Hole was kick-started in the early 1960's by the passionate dream of its founders, Paul McCollister and Alex Morley. From humble and rugged beginnings, this dream was fully realized decades later with the ingenuity of a family with historic ties to the Cowboy State. In their tenure of ownership since 1992, the Kemmerer family has invested greatly in the prosperity of Jackson Hole and the state of Wyoming. With vast improvements to operations, lifts and infrastructure, they have ushered Jackson Hole Mountain Resort into its present-day luster and world-wide iconic status as "The Big One".
This winter Jackson Hole is celebrating that "Born to Be Wild" spirit all season long with events, the opening of the brand new Teton Lift and a video web series produced by TGR.
Jackson Hole was founded on a simple but bold idea; having the courage and conviction of your dreams. Nearly fifty years later Jackson Hole continues to evolve as the last true bastion for all for those who dare to live this dream.

Jackson Hole has long been a Winter Destination Mecca for skiers and snowboarders.
Jackson Hole is located 11 miles from the town of Jackson in Teton Village in the U.S. state of Wyoming, near the western border with Idaho. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is ranked #1 Overall Resort in North America by the annual SKI Magazine Reader's Poll. Jackson Hole boasts one of the longest, steepest continuous vertical drops of any ski area in North America. You can ski 4,139 leg-burning, vertical feet from 10,450 feet down to 6,311 feet. The ski resort receives an average of 360 inches of snowfall per year and gets people out on the hill with eight chairlifts, a gondola and the famous aerial tram.
