FWT15 Haines, Alaska GoPro Course Preview. Comp is Rescheduled For Tomorrow

The idea of a third attempt at holding this Alaskan stage in Haines yesterday looked very promising according to the weather forecast. However, Mother Nature had decided differently. The conditions were such that the attempt could be called off early, avoiding that the riders had to go on a helicopter ride out to the Venue in vain again and eventually get stuck up in the mountains with weather coming in.
With this window now closed, FWT General Manager, Nicolas Hale-Woods (SUI), announced that due to the snow storm forecast the event is called off for the day. Saturday is not an option neither. Expressing the strong will of the riders as well as the organizers to bring this ambitious dream event alive, it has been decided to prolong the stay in Haines, Alaska despite the logistic challenges and financial implications that this incurs. Being so close, the fabulous snow conditions, and that beauty of the competition face all feed the motivation to wait out another storm and give it one more try.
Next Possible Competition Day is Sunday.
