Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Continues in Zagreb
After Munich's City event cancellation the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup moves to Croatia. Sljeme's "Crveni spust" Slalom course in Zagreb is ready for the Ladies and Men's races. The "Vip Snow Queen Trophy" Alpine Slalom will take place tomorrow , January 4 and the Men's Slalom on January 6.
The Croatian capital Zagreb Ski Area is only twenty minutes away from the city center. The ski slopes are situated on the northern slopes of Medvednica, beginning at the Sljeme peak and using the varied configuration of the terrain, thus providing slopes of different levels of difficulties. The total slope length is about 4,500 metres, with 2 ski lifts (the White and the Green Slope), as well as a three-seat ski lift on the Red Slope with a total capacity of 3300 skiers per hour. The Red Slope is equipped with a snowmaking and night illumination systems.
