Swatch Skiers Cup Returns To Zermatt in 2015

The next edition of  the Swatch Skiers Cup will take place from 21 to 27 February 2015 in Zermatt. Team Europe and Team Americas face off against each other in this Freeski duel between the continents.
In the duel of the continents, Julien Regnier is captain of Team Europe and Seth Morrison captain of Team Americas. The two captains select the seven best riders from each region. These compete in man-against-man duels during the two days of competition.
For the fifth time, the Swatch Skiers Cup will take place in Zermatt. The action on the backcountry slopestyle and the entertainment in the village is open to the general public, which gives the event a special atmosphere. The exact location in Zermatt will be announced shortly before the competition, depending on the snow conditions.
The tragic death of JP Auclair casts a shadow over the Swatch Skiers Cup 2015. This charismatic and inspiring skier led Team Americas as the captain to victory in the Swatch Skiers Cup 2014. JP Auclair was accidentally killed in an avalanche in Patagonia at the end of September. The organiser of the Skiers Cup 2015 will hold the event in memory of JP Auclair.
There is great excitement about which riders the two captains Regnier and Morrison will nominate. They will announce their complete teams for the Swatch Skiers Cup 2015 at the beginning of December.
