NSAA Names Top Ski Area Marketing Programs

Yesterday the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) named seven ski areas as winners of its annual Marketing Awards. The awards, sponsored this year by strategic marketing and database technology firm Ryan Solutions based in Ohio, are presented to NSAA member ski resorts, both large and small, for their successful marketing programs that ultimately help grow the sports of skiing and snowboarding. The 2013 NSAA Marketing Award winners are:

Judges for this year's awards were Nancy Berenato, senior sales manager for Mountain News; Michael Bisner, vice president of sales and marketing for Body Glove Winter; and Diane Foster, city manager for Park City Municipal. Winners were announced live May 2 during the 2013 NSAA National Convention and Tradeshow being held in Palm Springs, California. An in-depth review of this each of this year’s marketing award winners will be highlighted in the Summer issue of the NSAA Journal.

The National Ski Areas Association (NSAA), formed in 1962, is the trade association for ski area owners and operators. It represents 325 alpine resorts that account for more than 90 percent of the skier/snowboarder visits nationwide. Additionally, it has 472 supplier members who provide equipment, goods and services to the mountain resort industry.
