Blue Mountain to host FIS Freestyle World Cup

The Rockstar Ski Cross Grand Prix, part of the FIS Freestyle World Cup, takes place at Blue Mountain Resort February 9th to 11th, 2011. The event is the 7th of 10 races on the FIS Freestyle World Cup tour that includes stops in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway. It is also the first World Cup stop after the 2011 World Championships in Deer Valley, Utah.
Canadian ski racer Ashleigh McIvor – who won the hearts of Canadians when she made history by winning the first-ever Olympic ski cross event last spring – is headlining a red hot Canadian squad when they return to Blue Mountain February 10-11, 2011 event. McIvor’s teammates, including Kelsey Serwa who picked her sixth career podium in San Candido, Italy at the season opening race, are considered the strongest team on the world circuit
