Nissan Outdoor Games has begun!

The Nissan Outdoor Games is back for its 6th consecutive summer edition. The race to produce a 5-minute film and a series of still photos in just one week has begun! Athletes from Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, UK, US, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, and France will take on the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley and mountain range to create their 5-minute short films and photo reports in this unique terrain. Forty of the world’s top outdoor sports specialists will do everything they can to provide the filmmakers in their respective teams with breathtaking images.
After an initial briefing at lunchtime on Wednesday 8 July, where the organisers outlined the rules for the competition, the five teams set off immediately to start their action. The clock is already ticking for the teams, as they only have one week to produce their film.
Due to the extraordinary backdrop of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the Mecca of action sports, the film festival has found the perfect venue for its sixth edition.Chamonix-Mont-Blanc has already twice hosted the winter version of the Nissan Outdoor Games in 2009 and 2008.
The event is part of the Nissan Sports Adventure programme.
The 'GoldenPeak' Trophy will be awarded to the best film, Thursday evening 15 July, on the big stage in the centre of Chamonix, after the public has seen the films and photos live on a giant screen. Two other awards will be given: The Nissan Prove It Award for the best action sequence, and Best Still Photographer, with a total prize purse of 32 000 €.
