After the Nissan Russian Adventure rescheduled in Chamonix and the Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc the third Freeride World Tour (FWT) stop will take place next week. The world’s best ski and snowboard riders will make history by competing for the first time ever (after last year failed attempt) on the infamous Tram Face: the mythical Squaw Valley venue which has remained strictly off-limits since the resort opened nearly 60 years ago.
The Nissan Tram Face event is the third of four Freeride World Tour stops.
After Squaw Valley, those riders with the top ratings will compete in the Tour's grand final in Verbier on March 20th during the Nissan Xtreme by Swatch which celebrates its 15th year. Julia Mancuso (USA), Olympic Silver medallist in the women's downhill competition and super combined, has confirmed her participation in the Nissan Xtreme Verbier by Swatch. Maelle Ricker (CAN), Olympic Gold medallist in the women's boardercross, will compete in the Nissan Tram Face in just over a week from now...
Snow conditions are perfect. The first possible day of competition is Saturday, February 27th, so stay tuned for more details!
