Gore-Tex Transalpine-Run

Next Saturday September 5th at 10:00 AM the starting signal for the Gore-Tex Transalpine-Run will be fired off for the fifth consecutive time. The event consists in a stage race across the Alps (238 Kilometers, 15422 meters ascent, 14659 meters descent) for teams of two participants. Starting in Oberstdorf, Germany, the whole Transalpine circus is travelling though Austria to South Tyrol, Italy. In eight stages, all participating pairs will once again experience a scenically outstanding routing. The Gore-Tex Transalpine-Run will be challenge for body and soul again and like all the years before, this event is made for ambitious trail and triathlon runners, Nordic walkers as well as marathon and mountain runners. The different team categories are: Men, Women, Master Men (when a team is male and combined over 80 years old, Aug 28, 2008 is the cut off date) and Mixed.

Sep 11, Stage 7 Mals (ITA) – Schlanders im Vinschgau (ITA)
Sep 12, Stage 8 Schlanders (ITA) – Latsch im Vinschgau (ITA)
